REC Emergency Care Series

Course Summary

Course Summary

The REC 3 course is a specially tailored program for individuals who often find themselves in outdoor environments whether for work or for play. Its relevance is particularly felt among those involved in outdoor activities such as canoeing, sailing, mountaineering, hillwalking, and forest school activities, as well as organisations like scouting and guiding. The course aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and practical skills to manage emergencies in these environments effectively.

The structure of the course ensures an immersive learning experience, with approximately half of the course time spent outdoors, actively participating in practical scenarios within small groups. This hands-on approach fosters a deeper understanding of the concepts and practices taught.
