Do you want to think like a diver, respond like a medic? This course introduces critical thinking and first aid skills applicable to incidents that can occur, within the sport of recreational diving.
A unique blend of human factors/ergonomics and first aid scenario based learning, targeted to build on / refresh exisiting skills for recreational divers, delivered by educational and healthcare specialists.
This course content will look at situational awareness, human error, graded assertiveness, communication, alongside, CPR, AED, wound management, general medical emergencies, fractures,sprains, communicating with EMS personnel, delivered in an enjoyalbe classroom enviroment, over 2 days, inclusive of recreational diving related simulated based scenarios.
Dates: Saturday & Sunday - 9th and 10th of Novemeber 2024
Cost: €280 (Lunch, tea and coffee included on both days)
Time: 9:00 - 16:00
Maximum Students: 8
Certification: Candidates who meet the required standards shall be eligible for award of the following certification upon completion of the weekend. PHECC Cardiac First Response, REC First Aid Afloat & REC Introduction to Human Factors.
