The course runs for two days, from 08:45 to 20:00 on Saturday and 08:45 to 18:00 (approximately) on Sunday. It is an intense, but enjoyable course, mixing theory with practical, indoors and outdoors. There are no prerequisites.
The course is progressive, building on each session, introducing new scenarios to test all taught techniques including:

The REC3 course is designed to introduce a systematic method of first aid for managing casualties in a remote, outdoor environment for up to six hours. The course is a balance of learning and practical, intermixed with scenarios of real situations.
On completion, the candidates:
Will be able to take control of an incident until a paramedic or Mountain Rescue arrives.
Will be able to cope with common occurrences – illness; injury; collapse.
Feel confident and have the competence to deliver First Aid assistance in an Emergency.
